Flying to Puerto Vallarta (PVR)
Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) is easy to get to with many direct flights available from cities across the U.S., including Chicago, Denver, and other major hubs. Most major airlines offer direct routes, so check your local airport for options. We recommend booking your flights and your transportation to/from the airport early to secure the best rates. Pre-booking a shuttle online from the airport to your hotel is the easiest way to ensure you arrive at your hotel quickly and easily. If you will be staying at an Airbnb condo, house or villa, ensure you have the exact address in full, along with a building name or villa name if applicable (there are lots of houses, older apartment buildings and villas that have the same name). Please reach out if you would like recommendations for a transport company and take note that Ubers/Lyfts are not able to pick up passengers directly at the airport – you will have to cross a bridge and walk a little ways to arrive at the rideshare pickup location.
Passports
Check NOW to make sure your passport is valid through September 2025. Some airlines require that passports be valid for six months past your travel dates.

We are so excited to celebrate with you in beautiful Puerto Vallarta! Listed below are accommodation options for you to consider (hotel, Airbnb, etc). Lodging preferences and budgets are personal decisions; therefore, we will not be arranging hotel blocks. Transportation will be provided to the wedding from select areas. See Transportation below.
Zona Romántica
(15 minutes to venue; shuttle provided on wedding day)
This lively, vibrant part of Puerto Vallarta is filled with charming boutique hotels and a wide selection of Airbnb’s. It’s perfect for those who want to enjoy the local culture, nightlife, and restaurants. We have stayed in this area of PV multiple times and really enjoyed ourselves at places with rooftop pools and nice amenities. Here’s an example.
Hotels Near the Venue

If you prefer to stay closer to the celebration, there are excellent hotel options listed below, some with the option of all-inclusive.
Hotel Mousai, Hilton Vallarta Riviera, Garza Blanca, or Hyatt Ziva ($$$) are luxurious, modern hotels offering stunning views and top-notch amenities
Barcelo Puerto Vallarta & Costa Sur ($ - $$) Both offer a blend of comfort and great service at a moderate price
Nuevo Vallarta
(no shuttle on wedding day)
Located about 25 - 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta Airport and 60 – 70 minutes from the wedding venue, Nuevo Vallarta is known for its large, all-inclusive resorts. You’ll find a wide range of options here, suitable for every budget. You are responsible for providing your own transportation to/from the airport and the wedding venue.
Transportation on Wedding Day
Shuttle service to and from the wedding venue will be provided on Saturday, March 8 from two of the three areas listed above: Zona Romántica and Hotels Near the Venue. Shuttle service will not be provided from Nuevo Vallarta.
Staying in Zona Romántica?
Shuttles will pick you up at Lazaro Cardenas Park, near the beach in Zona Romántica. You may need to walk or get an Uber to the shuttle pick up.
Staying at one of the six hotels listed above Near the Venue?
The shuttle will come directly to your hotel.
Staying in Nuevo Vallarta and want to return to your hotel?
You have the option of taking the shuttle back to Zona Romántica and then getting a cab/uber to your hotel.
It will be the guest’s responsibility to arrive at the designated pick-up locations on time, but don’t worry—Puerto Vallarta is very Uber and cab-friendly. If you choose to get your own transportation, getting a ride to the venue will be easy, but rides back will be more difficult, so we highly recommend taking the provided shuttle after the celebration. If you take a shuttle back to Zona Romántica, you can easily get an Uber from there.
If you prefer to make your own way to the venue, feel free! Please keep in mind there is NO PARKING for your personal vehicle and availability of Ubers and cabs leaving late from the venue at night will be very limited.
